Greg Jones has begun his second fight with cancer with in a years time .The battle started in July 2016 with esophagus cancer , the cancer is a fierce ,fast growing and aggressive form . He under went chemo and radiation then They removed part of his stomach and his esopohas and reattached it .After surgery he completed another round of chemo .Greg had a feeding tube for a few months after surgery to maintain his weight .He was off work for 3 1/2 months and his sick leave is exhausted .He has only been back to work for a few days now .Medical expenses out of pocket cost him $13,000.00 with His first battle and has not fully recovered from that hit . The cancer has Metastatized to the rectum .This is the same cancer as the esophagus and the oncologists reported that this is so rare they have not come across this happening before .For the cancer to have traveled so far is rare , additional testing will be completed to see if it spread to other areas . Greg is reaching out to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for a second opinion on treatment options . Greg is asking for help from those who can as he is stressed about not being able to work and the pile of medical expenses once again in a short time .
