On October 31, 2013 Donny was diagnosed with(Grade 2 Oligodendroglioma) brain tumor. He underwent surgery to remove the tumor and 9 months of chemotherapy to get rid of what was left of the tumor from surgery . We were told that this type is tumor would always come back but the doctors were hoping not for another 15-2O years. Donny was enlisted in the Air Force active duty but unfortunately because of this tumor he was medically discharged.
Donny is now a full time nursing student at Kent State Univerisity.
3 years after the first diagnosing we received the news that the tumor has returned. On June 14 2016 Donny will undergo his second Brain surgery . Once the tumor is removed and the pathology report comes back the doctors will determine if chemotherapy or radiation is the best fit. Please pray for our family as we indure this process again.
