Team Green @ LeMons Race 2017

Myself and a few of my friends will be competing in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mons endurance race. It's an event for a worthy charity and you must provide a 'cheap' car, full personal protective gear, all fuel, and any other costs that go with motor racing. Said costs are quite a bit, particularly as the driver and car requirements are similar to a professional motor racing event, and there is an entry fee. Per driver costs look like being around the $1900 mark for car, personal protective gear and entry fee and there are 6 drivers in our team. The car has been rigorously tested by members of our team so it's good to go.
The purpose of telling you about this is that our team will be looking for a bit of help with costs. We need things like replacement tyres, brake pads and discs, and of course enough fuel for the duration of the event. All of this is totalling around $3000. None of that total includes any personal expenditure for entry or driver's safety gear, but we're ignoring those costs in this campaign.
Sponsorship is possibly an option and if you own or represent a business, there will be media exposure in return for any sponsorship. I am reluctant to ask individuals for money, but motorsport even 'cheap' entry level motorsport such as this event is actually still rather expensive. Our team does need help.
