Crystal's fight with Cancer

My heart is breaking because my beautiful sister, Crystal Herrick has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. Friday, March 17th my sister gave birth to my gorgeous nephew, Lenox Ivan Ledesma. As huge of a blessing him coming into our lives was, we had no idea his birth was my sister's saving grace. She was not able to dialate naturally and had to undergo a C-section to bring her little angel into this world. She had been in labor for a long, exhausting 29 hours and wasn't past 4cm dialated. The doctor was confused as to why.. After the birth of my nephew a biopsy was done on my sister's "scar tissue" the doctors thought was the problem from the previous birth of my Neice Lana. Come to find out the tissue was a mass, located behind her cervex and tested Malignant. The mass is 4+ cm. She has undergone tests at UCSF to find out what steps need to be taken to her recovery. She will need to go through 7+ weeks of chemotherapy, external radiation and internal radiation. The Cancer unfortunately moved into her lower lymph nodes so she will need to undergo a Lymphadenectomy to remove them.
