Dear Friends, Family and Supporters of Help Marisela say Goodby MS - Adios EM”,
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2001, and I have been accepted for the HSCT Stem Cell treatment to begin October 15, 2018 in Puebla, Mexico. The cost of this treatment will be $70,000.00 USD, and I am fundraising to reach this goal, as it is not covered by insurance and it is out of the country. Unfortunately, my husband was laid-off from his IT position in December of 2017 and has been unable to find employment, so this puts an added financial burden on our family.
This treatment will halt the progression of this incurable; progressive disease. It will allow me to be able to be more active with my children’s activities and better support my husband as a couple. We are also looking to host multiple fundraiser events; including a Garage Sale on August 2, 3, 4 during North Aurora Days at 401 Sycamore Lane at Mooselake Estates, a Taco Fest "Taquiza" on Sunday August 12th beginning at noon at the Mora Form in Waterman, IL, where we would like to raise awareness and funds for this wicked disease but also for this type of treatment.

update: thanks to the generosity of many friends and family, I was able to have my autologous stem cell transplant or HSCT, but we had to take out a personal loan from some friends. We are currently at a shortfall of about $30,000 usd, so we must continue our fundraising efforts. Thank you for your continued support!
