"My life, my world my 6 year old baby boy has brain cancer...Bradley can't speak and I miss hearing him say "I love you mommy!" .... Bradley hasn't regained his arm strength and I miss his hugs... Bradley, finally after 3 weeks has laughed for me and it brought tears to my eyes because for that one moment he wasn't thinking about the pain, he wasn't thinking about wanting to go home or missing his friends from school... He was happy."

On September 5th, 2015 Bradley's MRI showed a posterior fossa brain tumor; which we later found out was Medulloblastoma, a type of childhood brain cancer that begins when normal cells in the brain change and grow uncontrollably forming a malignant tumor. This is a brain tumor that originates in the lower back part of the skull, better known as the cerebellum. These tumors are extremely rare and aggressive, but the good news is that the tumor was caught before it was able to spread to the spine.

After receiving immediate surgery to have the tumor removed Bradley suffered from several side effects, the most noticeable being Cerebellar Mutism which left him with the inability to speak and loss of motor skills requiring him to receive daily physical therapy. Bradley has already overcome several huge hurdles with incredible strength and bravery, having undergone a 6 hour brain surgery and continuing to endure an extended stay at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. While the surgery was largely successful he still has a long journey ahead of him that will include months of chemotherapy and radiation.

I can't wait to get my energetic and funny baby boy back but unfortunately the treatment will make him feel sicker before he gets better. After meeting with pediatric oncologists and radiologists, Bradley's 51 week treatment plan was in place. Treatment will include 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week followed by several cycles of chemotherapy totaling 40 weeks.

Prior to this devastating news Bradley spent his days running around his Abuelito's Date Ranch, swimming and playing minecraft with his friends. Now Bradley will spend his days in the hospital fighting to beat cancer.

The heartbreak and fear that a diagnosis like this brings is already too much for mother to bear. I have literally been by his side 24/7 since his diagnosis. As a single mother and Bradley's only caregiver I have been on a Leave of Absence from work as caring for Bradley has become my full-time job. I hope to remain by his side throughout his time in the hospital but as every family has expenses my little family now has this in addition to missed time at work. Please help Bradley beat cancer and keep his number one supporter, his mommy at his side.

The expenses associated with this type of long term treatment regimen are staggering and donations will help me cover the mounting medical costs, travel expenses to Loma Linda Children's Hospital (an hour away from home) and mitigate the impact of the work and lifestyle changes necessary to support Bradley's journey to recovery. I thank you in advance for your generosity and for your much needed prayers! I appreciate you sharing this with your friends and loved ones. Please pray for Bradley's healing.
