TEAM TERRAH

We are Team Terrah. We are her community, her family, her friends, her people, her tribe.

The “C” word strikes again. It SUCKS! We all know it and we all know what it does to people & their families. The treatment cost alone can be devastating enough but that’s not all, there is so much more. We need your help. TERRAH needs your help.

Terrah Yeager is a young, vivacious, caring, giving soul. Her Facebook page describes her as; a dog lover, mortgage guru, coffee aficionado, adventure seeker, Dream chaser and sadly a Seahawks fan.. (somethings can be forgiven) but despite her terrible taste in football teams, we can tell you a few more facts about her. Terrah is hard working, dedicated, funny, caring, loving, generous to a fault and a humanitarian. Oh, and one more thing… she’s not going to be happy about this page.  In fact, she’s going to be pissed like only Terrah can be. Anyone who knows her, knows, she is the one who gives. She is the one who helps. Who jumps in and makes ‘it happen. Now, it’s our turn. Our turn to jump in and make things happen for her and she is just going to have to deal with being loved by so many.

Terrah, at this ridiculously young age of 30(something) has been diagnosed with stage 3-4 metastatic head and neck cancer.
Right off the bat, because of the location(s) of the cancer in her body, her treatment options were scary and very limited. Instead of panicking, in true Terrah form, she went to work researching every option available to her, both here in the US and abroad. She investigated both holistic and traditional medicine. She sought out second, third, fourth opinions, refusing to settle for standard, “cross your fingers and hope for the best” traditional care of the masses.

Her best and brightest hope has been found with a cancer clinic in California with a brilliant, amazing team that specializes in her specific issues. They provide customized treatment geared toward her, and only her, specific type of cancer and its location. As you probably figured out by now, this comes at a huge cost and NOT covered by insurance. Tens of thousands of dollars, life savings draining dollars. Never ending debt dollars. Money that she and Linda have worked their whole lives towards saving.

Terrah and her faithful sidekick Charlie the Boykin Spaniel, left for California, 2 weeks ago and she underwent her second round of chemo today.

As anyone who has been through this or has held the hand of someone who has been through this knows, the horrible side effects those poisons have on the body. Its been rough but still she smiles and sends pictures and makes jokes, just to get through. But that's our Terrah. But we know... we all know. IT SUCKS!

Thankfully, Terrah’s beautiful mother, Barb, has taken 4 weeks leave from her job to take care of Terrah and Charlie out in southern Cali. Beyond those 4 weeks, Terrah will be on her own and will need our support more than ever. And please, let’s not forget Linda. Sweet, amazing Linda. She needs our support and love too...When someone is so strong, as Linda is, we forget how hard this is horrible diagnosis is on their other half. A lot of us have, unfortunately, been there and know the helpless, lonely feelings this monster brings with it. Please keep Linda and Barb in your thoughts and show them your support as they go through this along side Terrah.

Terrah, Linda, Barb, TEAM TERRAH and her amazing doctors, are optimistic that she will be back running at full Terrah speed and this will be a true success story. However, as we said before, there is a tremendous cost to this this diagnosis that has already been incurred. The testing, the different doctors, the medicine the treatments... and let’s not forget time off from work and her business. This has all cost an incredible amount of money. The living expenses alone while in California for Terrah and her mom are beyond comprehension. Please consider helping this amazing girl and her loving supportive family make it through this and get back to living her best Terrah life, as only she can. Your help and support are greatly needed and forever appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and to support TEAM TERRAH in our efforts to help.

All donations will be sent directly to an account set up specifically for Terrah and will be used to help cover some of the expenses incurred while out in California and for future treatments when she comes home to South Carolina.
