Team Serena - A Healthy Home!

A home for Serena.
Ask me to describe our daughter Serena Wilder and I’ll tell you she’s bright, brave, even-tempered, artistic, and determined. Full of rich promise to do amazing things, she has a deep desire to care for our earth. She looks forward to resuming her environmental studies major one day.

But after two years of fighting Lyme Disease, this girl so full of promise continues to remain captive in her bedroom. Most days she copes with crippling joint and muscle pain, massive headaches, high fevers, and neurological symptoms like not being able to read or see straight. Serena focuses on the things she can do—like drawing, photography, and loving our faithful dog Scout.

There is good news. Serena’s on a customized treatment plan that’s slowly moving her along the road to recovery. Even though treatment hurts, she’s making headway in slaying the Lyme dragon. And her plans for the future and full recovery beat strong, bright, and hopeful.

Unfortunately, come June, that may change. The school next door will start a large year-long renovation project, and Serena’s immune system is so compromised that she won’t be able to breath with the dust and debris. We must relocate soon until renovation is complete.
Due to high medical expenses, we have no money to move. We ask you for help in paying our relocation costs until the air tests safe enough for Serena to return. And we ask you for help in funding the cost of an environmentally friendly Tiny House, so that Serena will always have a safe, healthy place to call home. This is one of her dreams that can come true.
