Team New Zealand - Jason Donovan

Tax deductible
Jason Donovan is going to Austria 2017. Jason is a champion skier and golfer -- and a dedicated spokesman for SO New Zealand. Becoming a Global Messenger/spokesman meant a great deal to Jason. In addition to his Special Olympics Kapiti sports training, Jason is doing a defensive driving course in a bid to secure his full licence this year. He is also eager to get up in the air as a glider pilot. To most this would be a far-fetched dream but this Kapiti Coast athlete could well see it come true. He is a member of the Wellington Gliding Club and volunteers at the Paraparaumu airfield in weekends and over summer, helping pull the gliders up to the launch pad and launching them. He's also trying to keep in shape as he trains for the 2017 Austria World Games, even as he continues his work in the Kapiti community. Jason also represented New Zealand at the 2009 World Games in Boise, Idaho. That's when he found out the Idaho race courses were steeper than New Zealand athletes were used to; but the team stepped up with their times and improved consistently throughout the competition.

Support Jason Donovan and his fellow 19 athletes as part of Team New Zealand!
