Team Marshall vs Cancer:

Donation protected
Dearest Friends, and Friends I have yet too meet,

My name is Marshall Coffman and I have been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.

While sitting in the Doctor's office listening to her explain my condition, my first thoughts were of my family. My wonderful wife and my amazing daughters!
I promised my wife a long time ago that we would grow to be old raisins together, I intend to keep that promise, I cannot leave her a widow.

Of my beautiful daughters, I cannot leave them fatherless, I have so much more I want to teach them and help prepare them for their lifes journey. I want to share in all of their life's joys and be there to comfort them in their times of need.

It was at this moment, I vowed to win the battle against cancer!

The battle I cannot win unfortuantely is the financial one. Insurance only pays so much and of course the medical bills are piling up. My disability pay is only sixty percent of my regular pay and this is simply to much to overcome.

I applied for social security disabilty and what a joke that turned out to be! They make you wait five months before you can recieve any benefits! Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard? I asked the rep on the phone what if you fell and broke your knee, when do you need help? He just replied I'm sorry but thats the way it is.

I opted to pay for a genetic's test which took the very last bit of savings I had in order to find out if I have a gene that would be passed on to my girls. Thank God that test came back negative! I could never forgive myself if they got this awful disease from me.

I am looking at some new treatments besides chemo, and radiation but they cost money, along with eventually having the mass surgically removed which insurance only covers eighty percent.

There comes a time in everyones life when they need to recognize that no matter how difficult or embarrising it may be, they need to ask for help. I guess this is my time so *swallows pride* I need help!

Please know that every option available to me has been exhausted and this is my last option and as uncomfortable as it is, every donation made won't be just saving me, but saving my family.

From the bottom of my heart I offer the deepest appreciation, and internal hearfelt gratitude for any donation made!

Thank You for taking the time to read my story!

Warmest Regards,

Marshall
