Team Kay

Kay is the Mom of three and Grandmother (Nana) to seven grandsons. In October of 2016 she was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer and the prognosis was not a positive one. With the love and support of her daughters and family she has faced this battle with courage and determination. She is expecting her first granddaughter in December. She has had several rounds of chemo and is currently going through her second round of radiation.  While insurance covers a large portion of her medical expenses, there are several that are not covered and the added medical expense has been a drain on her personal resources. She has had to decline scans that were ordered by her doctor because insurance will not cover the additional scans needed.  In addition to the medical expenses she is no longer able to work and is no longer able to do some of the simple day to day  tasks such as tending to her lawn, doing her weekly shopping, general cleaning and other chores. She is unable to drive and also must often take a service to appointments or to run errands. This Go Fund Me account has been set up to assist her with some of the medical and daily living expenses that she is unable to meet due to her illness.
