We are asking for help and prayers, to make our house accessible for my nineteen year old paralyzed son, William, who was in a bad car accident on July 7th.
I have never been good at asking for help. At nineteen I joined the Navy to serve my country, not knowing at twenty, I would meet the love of my life. A few months later we tied the knot, and I became a dad to five wonderful children. Being a dad is by far the best thing I could have ever experienced in my life. A little over twelve years later, on July 7th, my wife, Samantha, received a phone call from our friend and neighbor, that William had been in a car wreck down the road from our house. We pulled up ten minutes later, and we where not ready to see what was next. My sons car was wrapped around a tree and my son laid on the ground not responding to me asking him to wake up. I prayed hard that God would wake him up. A few hours later, the Doctor came out into the waiting room to let us know that William was awake, and suffered no head trauma. he had remembered his whole life. His back was broken in two places and would need surgery. We prayed to God that surgery would go well and on July 12th, my son's surgery was successful. We would now be able to sit him up and he has his arms. The doctors told us that he is paralyzed from the top of his chest down. We are thankful that we have our son, and William is currently working hard in Charlotte North Carolina Rehabilitation Center with my Wife. I am in between work and home, trying to get our house ready for William to come home in a few weeks. Unfortunately, our current income is less than enough for these added repairs and changes for our family. I understand if times are hard for anyone reading this, and I would ask if you can please pray for our family, and pass this request along. My family is forever grateful for the prayers and blessings.
