Donation protected
This campaign is to raise urgent funds to provide English Language training to 30 Stateless and/or Vulnerable people. We will provide language classes for hill tribe people in Chiang Rai, to start them on the path of a better life from January 2019 - The need is urgent for this community.

The Chance Foundation

We work with stateless and vulnerable groups in the Northern area of Thailand, who are at risk of trafficking and falling below the poverty line. We offer employment training, language classes, life skills training and training in animal welfare.

The Issue: The exact number of Stateless people in Thailand is unknown but it is likely more than two million. Stateless people cannot vote, buy land, seek legal employment or travel freely. Without access to basic education, and an income to be independent, they are at high risk of exploitation and are readily exploitable by traffickers in the region.

Objective: To offer vocational training to individuals at risk to work in a number of different roles including, but not limited to, training in the Hospitality Sector, Vocational Training and Animal Welfare Caregivers.

Alongside vocational training, language education classes will help develop a good level of proficiency in English and help increase their employment opportunities in the future.

To develop business and individual skills through an education agenda, including but not limited to; personal finance management, business bookkeeping and management, computer training, health and hygiene classes and entrepreneurial training.

We would also encourage any donors to visit the project either individually or through the volunteer and cultural immersion trips we will offer throughout the year.
