The Triple-Braided Cord Ministry is an energetic and youthful ministry run by university students for students. It originally started as a bible study group and has grown in the past year not only in members but most importantly faith in Christ Jesus. We are proud to say that we are the first of its kind in Derby and have grown rapidly starting from just 5 members to over 70 in just under a year.
Our aim is to win souls for Christ and encourage youths to truly have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Above all, TBCM values unity and fellowship. We are not only a ministry but over the past year we have become family.
The unbreakable bond that we have built over the year truly depicts our motto of ‘a triple-braided cord is not easily broken’ (Ecclesiastes 4:12) and encourages us to continue aspiring for a deeper understanding of the values of Christian fellowship.
Our ministry organises weekly Bible Study sessions every Thursday of the academic year and recently withheld two spirit-felt Worship Nights. The goal of our first event ‘TBCMBelieve’ was an introduction to our ministry. This was followed by ‘TBCMIncrease’ our second Night of Worship which encouraged and taught us to seek less of ourselves and more of God (John 3:30).
Our aim is to move forward and enter a new dimension of Gods glory by holding a 3-Day Conference which will take place between the 13th-15th May 2016. The event will not only give us Derby students but also other cohorts from the East Midland Region an opportunity to experience the supernatural power of God.
Our goal is to raise £2500 over the next four weeks and as students this is currently unattainable for us. We need the support of our members, as well as their families and friends to help us reach our objective. Your generous donation will help us hire venue, instruments, sound systems and will also aid us in providing flyers, posters and transport for our guest speakers for the weekend.
We hope that you will partake in this event, not just through prayers but also through your generosity. We are optimistic that you will recognise the work that our Almighty God has started in us and that you will donate to our ministry and assist us in bringing this vision of our conference to fruition.
