TCWofJR: 2018 Fringe Festival 2018

Donation protected

I’ve written a show for The Hollywood Fringe Festival this June! I’ve had this idea for a show in my mind for a long time, and though it’s been awhile since I’ve written an original musical, it’s now or never and I want to officially announce the title for the World Premier:

The Complete Works of Julia Roberts: a Parody Musical!

My original musical is about a young woman without direction dealing with her misogynist boss, overbearing family, friends who have achieved far greater success, and a non-existent love life. To escape her drudgery she takes a deep dive into Julia Roberts movies.

Like my other original works, I’ve written the book and lyrics for this show and my friend Caleb Martin is composing the music. Caleb is amazing and has worked on multiple game shows including Big Brother, Biggest Loser, The Price is Right. He also wrote the score for The American Rescue Dog Show and is supervising producer for the CBS's Name That Tune. He also is the music director and composer for the Daytime Emmys for the past three years.

Some of the soon to be hit songs include:

Steel Magnolias: Don’t Talk About Me Like I’m Not Here
Erin Brokovitch: I’ve Got Numbers Coming Out Of My Hair
A duet between Sleeping with the Enemy, Julia, and Flatliners Julia called: That Was The Night I Died
Money Monster:  It’s the Money That’s Scary – That Monster Ain’t Me
My Best Friends Wedding: I’m Wishin’ and Hoping for a Gay Wedding Date
And of course, August: Osage County: Eat The Fish, Bitch!

I’m hoping my close friends and family will want to become Angel Producers for my show. My goal is to secure 50 or more friends who are willing to contribute $20.00 each. And that is why I made this video and started this GoFundMe Page. The money will be used to cover venue rental fees, insurance, costumes, props, marketing and rehearsal space.

If you are able to donate: Please, any amount would be appreciated. More than anything I’ll be keeping you all updated on the progress of the show and performance dates and times.

Heck, even if you are unable to donate, leave a message down below and let me know you'll be there to see my show, The Complete Works of Julia Roberts: a Parody Musical, this June!
