HandiVan for DMAC

Donation protected
Let's get together and help out a friend  and co-worker!
David McDonald (DMAC) is a 911 dispatcher with the Clinton CT Police Department.  (I would hate to lose my desk partner because he had no way to get to work.)
On 8/27/1983 DMAC was involved in a diving accident which resulted in him being a quadriplegic. He spent 30 days at Yale then another 3 months at Gaylord Rehabilitation Hospital.
David now needs our help! He currently drives a 1993 Ford Van with a lift and special controls that allow him the freedom to work and go about his daily life. That van has now been called a "death trap" by his mechanic.
David, being on a very limited budget is in a bind. Dave is not a lazy person looking for a handout. He would work enough hours to pay for his van but David is unable to work more hours because he will risk losing his disability benefits, David is at a loss.
The cost of a new or used Handicap accessible van is way out of his ballpark.
In conclusion let's help David maintain his independence and freedom.
He needs us, and we need him!!!
