Seven Tasmanians.
Seven Days.
Over 1200kms of kayaking, cycling and hiking.
$20 000 donation target supporting mental health and wellbeing in Tasmania.
Tassie’s Better With Balance is a fundraising and awareness-raising endurance event taking place from Monday 8th to Sunday 14th October in support of better mental health and wellbeing.
Seven Tasmanians will cycle, run and kayak over 1200 kilometres through some of our state’s most beautiful, most productive and most challenging landscapes.
Support of their journey will raise money for Rural Alive and Well (RAW) Tasmania and provide a focal point for industry conversations and programs that raise awareness of mental health and the importance of employee wellbeing, as highlighted in the industry Blueprint for Mental Health and Wellbeing launched by the Tasmanian Minerals and Energy Council (TMEC) in 2017.
Rural Alive and Well uses donations to help build the resilience and capacity of individuals, families and the community to react to challenging life experiences including mental health issues with a specific focus on suicide prevention.
