Recently one of my family members and close friend found out she had cancer. Here is how it all started:
After working a Saturday shift, she found that she had a mass on her neck, thinking it was mono, she headed to Urgent Care to get it checked out. With no pain, and the size increasingly growing, the doctor on staff took one look and called an ambulance. Once admitted, the diagnosis came fast and furious and to the dismay of her family and friends found that she had Hodgkins lymphoma of which it is further classified as Bulky Diesease which means that it is fast growing and spreads quickly. After many tests and CAT Scan, it was determined that she has a mass on her chest, a mass on her neck entangled in her vital blood vessels and main arteries. After 2nd opionion, 1 week later, it was determined that it has already spread to other places. Due to the nature of the disease, Chemo needs to start immediately which will impact her financially. The loss of work, the medical expeses even after insurance and the fact that her baby is not even a year old has been a tremendous stresser even now.
Please help me, help her. A wife, a sister, a daughter, and a mother fighting for her life. Fighting for her son and she needs the help of family and friends.
