Taren's Study Abroad Trip To Peru

Hi everyone!
I am a second-year mechanical engineering student at Michigan Technological University. I am minoring in International Spanish, and would like to complete my minor on a summer study abroad trip to Peru.
The study abroad program is a faculty-led program sponsored by MTU. I will be able to learn from a professor that teaches at MTU. The program covers nine credits, a homestay, excursions to Cusco and Machu Picchu, health insurance, guided tours, and airport pickup and dropoffs.
My financial aid for my fall and spring semesters doesn't cover summer studies. I have been applying for loans to cover the cost, but I haven't been able to find a creditworthy cosigner. The program itself is approximately $10300, and the other $1200 would be towards air fare, necessities, and personal travel/food in Peru. I need to submit a $500 deposit by February 24th.
