My name is Chris Calhoun. I am a retired United States Marine with over 20 years of service to the United States and it has been my dream over the last few years to own and operate a beer garden in the city I grew up in, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
With my passion for beer and experiencing hundreds of the best breweries, pubs, taverns, and beer gardens over my 20 years of service, I want to put that knowledge into practice and open a Tap House and Beer Garden in Chattanooga.
When I retired from the Marine Corps in 2011 I moved back to Chattanooga and began working in Beer Distribution to learn the industry and I have watched it grow and grow over the last five years. I plan on taking the things I have seen in my travels around the world enjoying beers in every climb and place and bring that taste to the St. Elmo area at the base of Lookout Mountain.
The goal is to raise $20,000 in order to be approved for the loan needed to get the business open. My goal is to have the doors open and ready to pour the first pints before the end of September 2016, just in time for Oktoberfest! I need to raise these funds within the next 30 days in order to make that timeline happen, so I am asking for your assistance in making this a reality.
