Vehicle and Living Shelter

hello, i'm thomas and i am mentally ill. mental illness is not something i like talking about, and there is a deep stygma that is both cross-cultural and often regionally distinct. few resources are offered, what are available are in high demand and limited supply, and much of the offerings are highly disorganized making them difficult to navigate. some ability to focus is necessary to negotiate these challenges (you can guess that sometimes focus just isn't part of the package). even as a person with bipolar coping with bipolar depression and mania, and someone in treatment for post traumatic stress, it is difficult for me to explain how close to the edge of sociabilty i walk and how dark it is once i slip over the edge, losing control of everything that seemed solid. it has take years to get where i think i can maintain work without pretending to do the daily tasks, and to do a good job.

over the last three and a half years i have been challenged with severe difficulties that have interupted my ability to work, compromised my marriage, distanced me from my children, pushed a foreclosure on my home, repossessed my vehicle, and brought me to the cusp of homelessness, where i currently sit.

having worked through the last year and a half of joblessness in mental disarray i've focused my efforts on gaining work. with more interest being shown toward my reset resumé postings i am approaching another set of hurdles. first, i will need transportation to and from interviews, and eventually work. second, when the bank sells my already foreclosed upon house i will have nowhere to live.

this brings me to what i'm asking for, i need help with a vehicle. it needs to be reliable (i'm no mechanic, but i can do basic maintenance), and, with waiting for a job, i need a big enough jalopy to sleep in the back of it in the case i don't have a job in time to pay for a room.
