Our mission to support local poor women can be achieved with your support.
For five years now we are in cooking business as family, however after our discussion of how to handle this business with generosity to local poor women who are less involved in tourism and completely earned nothing we did not appreciate such situation to continue, slowly slowly we started to involve very few women from our kitchens like Kendwa, Stone town, Jambiani and Dole but as I mentioned very few because our capacity is also low at the moment, each kitchen is supported by four women on shift basis they work with us and earn 20% of our profits, only in Kendwa where we work with local ngo we have more than 10 women to help and earn.
Our new ideas is to publish the Tangawizi cookbook and start completely new projects for other women in the rural women , our obstacle so far is lack of funding for publishing the book, we have consulted those women and gave them little support so far still we need to stretch ourselves and do more for their livelihood.
