Talent Show T-Shirts

I'm a teacher obsessed with making sure that my students walk away from their fourth grade year feeling happy and proud of themselves. That they grow a TON intellectually, socially, and emotionally. 

Sounds easy, right? ;)

My class this year has been working on a dance to the song "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons for the talent show. EVERY. KID. IS. IN. IT. This is so important because getting 19 stubborn, emotional, wonderful little humans on board with working together through recess and specials is nothing short of a freaking miracle. 

As an appreciation gift for their hard work I would like to get matching t-shirts for the whole class to wear during their performance. As an added bonus, we will tie-dye them and sign them at the end of the year (something my classes traditionally do anyway).

This isn't something I can write a grant for or go to the district for as it's a personal expensefor my personal class. And since Tyler and I are trying our very best to save some cash before our travels this year, I figured I'd go to Facebook. I hate it, it honestly kind of makes me feel icky, but it will help me out so much.

These kids deserve happiness, and my hope is that someday, they pull this wrinkly, tie-dye t-shirt out of their closet when they're having a bad day.

I hope that this shirt someday literally sparks memories of something they were proud of. That they're reminded of how special they are and how far they have hopefully come. 

And I hope that this shirt brings back some positive memories of a crazy teacher who fought as hard as Thor, god of lightning and thunder (she wishes) for their future.
