Taking the cut for cancer
Donation protected
Myself, my Mam, sister and stepdaughter have all decided to have our hair cut short to raise money for cancer. We will be donating any suitable hair and money raised to Macmillan. As a family we have been affected by cancer in more than one way and have also had to watch as close friends battle this awful disease. So we decided we wanted to give something back. Cancer does not just affect the person with the disease but everyone close to them. Macmillan nurses, similarly, don't just care for the person suffering but are also there for those suffering around them. We are doing this for our mothers, fathers, aunties, nanas, sisters, uncles, grandads, friends and everyone else who has been affected by cancer. The chance of getting cancer now is scary at 1 in 2. No one should have to face cancer alone.
