Taking my disabled dad on holiday

Hi, my name is Carly, I'm 21 and I look after my disabled dad. I was talking to my dad, Stuart, last night about what he’d like for Christmas and his reply broke my heart. He was thinking about what he wanted and after some talking he was telling me all the things he’d like to do if he was able bodied. He said “I’d love to go on one of those hoverboards. The mind is willing but the body’s f***ed”. My Dad has such a crude humour. It’s the thing I love most about him. Despite losing his independence, his pride, his ability to do anything, and the control of his own body, he has kept his wicked sense of humour, he is one of the strongest people I know. My dad has secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, the photo above is from 2 years ago and he is wheelchair bound, has been for over 6 years and relies on me and my mum for everything - we have both been caring for him for several years. Hearing him talk about never being able to do anything other than sit in his wheelchair and watch tv broke my heart so after speaking to my mum and my younger sister we want to take him on holiday. He hasn’t been on holiday since he became wheelchair bound and we’ve found an activities weekend for people with severe disabilities that has electric beds, available access and hoists, that we’d like to take him for his birthday in May next year. He can do activities such as zip-wire, canoeing, and go in a pool for the first time in a long long time. For me and my sister to take him for the weekend it would cost £1104 including hiring a wheelchair accessible van as it's in the lake district, as a carer this is far beyond my financial means.
Please help me take my dad on one last hurrah, to experience things he never thought he could experience again, before he really is too ill to handle it. I want to surprise him for his birthday and I know it would meant he absolute world to him!
