Take care of Casey

Donation protected
Megan Brennan was killed in a motorcycle accident on April 25, 2017. She was riding on a flyover in Austin on a windy day. She struggled, without success,  to keep her motorcycle from drifting, according to witnesses. She was doing everything right. She was wearing a helmet and she was not speeding. She had gotten her motorcycle driver's license and taken a motorcycle safety course. No other vehicles were close to her. The closest driver to Megan told police that Megan was struggling with the wind and finally drifted, despite her efforts, against the flyover's wall. Her bike struck the wall and, because of the low height of the wall,  Megan was thrown over the side of the wall, where she plunged 100 feet to her death.  Her motorcycle kept going along the wall for a quarter mile.

Megan was only 28.

Megan must have been terrified as she struggled to keep herself on the road and she certainly knew, as she was falling, that she was falling to her death. Those were agonizing moments.

Take care of Casey. Everyone who knows Megan knows that, if anyone had been there to hear her last words, to know her last thoughts, they would have been "take care of Casey."

Casey is only six-years-old. He has a long life ahead of him and, every day, it will be a life without his mom there.

Most of this fund will be used for Casey's "after high school" plans so that, as Meg hoped,  his mom can help him go to college. He may have needs along the way, though, as he copes with this tragedy. This fund can help with those, too. It will be a "take care of Casey" fund.

Casey is Megan's legacy and all she would ever have asked from her friends and family is to take care of Casey.
