Take Our Class out to the BallGame

Horlick High School’s Gray School Freshmen are spending Spring semester studying baseball!

We work in an urban district with at-risk students who have not had the opportunity to experience a professional baseball game.  Please help us bring 140  underprivelaged students to a Brewer Game!

All Spring, we will study baseball throughout our content areas, immersing the students in All Things Baseball!

In Science, they will be learning the physics behind baseball such as velocity, gravity, and how a Curve Ball Works.  

In English our students will studying the Negro Baseball league and The All American Girls Professional League as well as studying baseball poetry.

Math will be working on how mathematicals numbers are used to try and determine how players respond in certain situations.

History will be teaching the History of Women's Baseball in the United States during WWII. (we even hope to have some relics from the Racine Bells!)

Our Freshmen Seminar course will explore the film of baseball and ethics in the sport.

We hope to culminate our multi-discipline learning experience with a Brewers Baseball Game in May.  With your help, we can raise the funds to assist all of our students in being able to experience a professional baseball game!
