TAG Labs: Code & Education Program

T.A.G. (Technology and Gaming) Labs is a D.C. based non-profit launched in 2013 by technology professionals with a passion for teaching young people coding and other STEAM related skills through the building of interactive gaming experiences. T.A.G. seeks to promote and inspire underrepresented populations in the tech field such as young women and students of color into exploring careers in technology that perhaps they would have ignored due to their lack of exposure to them.

But we need YOUR help!

Running a non profit can be challenging enough, but T.A.G. Labs faces unique obstacles as a STEAM education focused one. While our overhead is fairly low, the computers and other equipment we use in our after school and weekend programs can be expensive to maintain. Our funding goal is a carefully thought out and itemized amount that will allow us to purchase new PCs to replace our older ones and equipment for our audio technology education program that we're currently developing. We also ambitiously would like to purchase a VR (virtual reality) kits in order to develop a curriculum around VR education for our students since computing is headed in this direction.
