The Snowball Project - It Takes a Village

It Takes a Village is a currency-free store in Listowel Ontario that services those in need in the community and surrounding area. Store owner Andrea opened the doors (and her heart) after seeing the trying times impacting those around her. She knew that by providing some of the basics in a judgement free space might make life just a little bit easier.

It Takes a Village runs on donations and through the generosity of the community and the volunteers who work in the store, they are able to offer food, clothing, toys, and more, to anyone who needs it. Cobs Bread and Giant Tiger in Listowel also offer bread and produce to ensure people have access to healthy food options.

Donations of all kinds keeps the shelves of It Takes a Village nicely stocked, but the only hard cost they face is the rent. The rent is paid each month through a variety of cash donations, but sometimes where the rent is coming from is a bit of an unknown that month.

So Taggart & Torrens has kicked off the first ever Snowball Project to help make a dent in in the rent! Donations big and small will all go towards helping Andrea pay the rent, so she can continue to focus her efforts on the amazing work that her and her volunteers do each and every day.
