Let's Help Rafael!

Rafael Madeira, one of the best people we know and a tour manager of over 12 years, had his bag stolen in Copenhagen this evening (out of our van, with the doors shut, while he was standing a few feet away closing up a Tacocat show). Raf has been on tour for 4 months straight now and lost all his personal items, money from the previous tour he was on before meeting us, but most importantly, the laptop that held his whole life on it. Money can't repair that, but it can help a genuinely awesome, kind, wonderful person salvage at least some of this experience. He didn't ask us to do this and would probably protest, but we care about him and want to help in any way we can.

He was a huge part of our tour and made an entire month on the road in Europe (our second month of tour coming straight from the States) doable. Not only has been our driver, merch salesman, and tour manager on this adventure, but he kept it positive no matter what, gave us advice we would have never ever found elsewhere, and basically kept us going when we were scattered and haggard. With only three days left before we all go home, including Rafael, we feel this is the best we can do to "repay" him, even though much of what he's lost has no price tag.

Thanks for listening. We wouldn't do this if it wasn't the right thing to do.
