Most of you who are reading this have already heard the story behind Kaitlyns Journey. But I know there will some of you that have not so here is a quick update......Back in January Kaitlyn started to have struggled with unknown health issues which resulted in many appointments and tests. Kaitlyn was losing weight, having a hard time breathing, chest and upper back pain, coughing up blood. CT scans, blood work, X-rays, Barium Swallow all showed that there were spots on her lungs, a mass by her pancreas, and spots on her liver. A biopsy was done on her liver as it was the least invasive. With still no results and getting worse, she was taken to hospital on Feb. 18 and was diagnosed with multiple blood clots in both lungs.  A few days later, doctors diagnosed Kaitlyn with stage 4 palliative cancer. The doctor said although medically speaking, it looks like there is no cure Kaitlyn and those around her have a faith that her God could intervene with a miracle, so she isn’t completely without hope.  She was taken by ambulance from Prince Albert to RUH in Saskatoon and has already underwent her 1st chemo treatment Saturday, Feb. 25. The doctors are still trying to determine what type of cancer they are dealing with, and have sent her biopsy to BC for a second opinion.  Yesterday Feb. 28 she had to have a blood transfusion.

Your PRAYERS are so appreciated, but we desire to ENCOURAGE and HELP Kaitlyn and her family in a practical way with this page.

There have already been many expenses incurred with appointments, ambulance costs, new puffers and medications. Kaitlyn is unable to complete her college courses and had to drop out this past week.  Not being able to work and having to pay back school loans etc. is also weighing on her.

Katelyn’s 5 siblings and parents live in Alberta and taking time off work, travel expenses back and forth to bring siblings, meals and motel costs for accommodation while in Saskatoon are adding up.  These expenses add a lot of extra stress when they are already all dealing with so much.  Pray for His peace.  Kaitlyn’s faith is strong, but she needs our love and support.

If you are able to help in a practical way, any size of donation would be GRATEFULLY received.  THANK YOU so much for your investment.  We appreciate your continued prayers as we trust Him in this walk of faith.

If you have facebook Kaitlyn has started a facebook page called Kaitlyn's Journey. You can add yourself to it for updates. I will try and keep you all posted on here as well for those who do not have facebook.
