Boston Marathon Bills Need Paying

I ran my first marathon in May 2013, one month after injuring my knee with Patella Femural Pain Syndrome. With my physiotherapist's help I ran the marathon. I qualified to run the Boston Marathon at the Victoria Marathon in Oct 2014 ( 4:12:45). I did run the Boston Marathon in 2016 but due to balance issues it was not a very good experience. I focused on celebrating the finish line, not the finish time and was fortunate enough to run with a friend and we kept each other going while we both struggled.
I have now learned that I have osteo-arthritis and bone spurs in both knees and prudently believe that 2018 will be my last year of running marathons. I will keep running but not marathons.
Registering for races is costly and I have already completed 27 races this year. I have successfully qualified to run the Boston Marathon 4 times this year:

Oct 8 - 4:04:09: Oct 8: https://www.sportstats.ca/display-results.xhtml?raceid=44800&status=results&lastname=Westacott
I improved my best time by nearly 20 minutes and ran my best marathon in under 4 hours.
This has been a very trying year for me financially. I have been a volunteer and supporter of running events for years. It is time I believed in me and sought the support of family and friends to help me achieve that goal.
I am honoured and excited about running the 122nd Boston Marathon April 16, 2018! It will be my 10th marathon and a fitting way to celebrate my small milestone.
I hope you will consider conributing to my campaign to help me get to Boston and achieve my dream!
Good health and good legs,
Judy
