Kim's Breast Cancer Surgery

I work with Kim - she is a terrific mom, caring nurse and a great person.  She always has a positive attitude in the hospital and takes great care of our patients.  No one would ever guess that she is fighting her own battle.

Kim is 39 years old and a single mother of 4 children.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.   That was over a year ago.  She was supposed to return for reconstructive surgery but has not been able to take time off work to schedule her surgery.  The tissue expanders from her first surgery are painful and have been left in place too long.  As a physician, I want to help her get the care she needs.

Please help me make Kim's needs a priority.  Her biggest obstacle is that she has no more sick leave or vacation time available - it was used up for her first surgery.  Please help me raise the money Kim needs to cover her expenses while she gets her surgery and recovers so she can return to work and her family.  The money will help pay for rent, insurance, food, and necessities for her family of 5 during her unpaid leave from work.  Please help in any way you can.
