Catinka Knoth  ROCKLAND, ME
In this video I, Catinka Knoth, demonstrate painting sumi-e roses on cards. Students in my free adult art classes do a similar version drawing with crayons.

My weekly free art classes for adults, here in Rockland Maine's public library, give anyone an opportunity to experience art making. We draw in color with pencils and crayons. We also work with paper cutting to practice new ways of  creating and seeing for our image making

While dear sponsors  fund the free kids' drawing classes that I also teach at the library, I choose to give the adult classes on my own. If you would like to participate in this ongoing project, by helping with my personal expenses, my updated GoFundMe campaign, "Catinka's 2017 Expenses Fund", is set up  to accept online financial donations.

My funding campaign  is an experiment, a work in progress! Originally set up late in 2015, this is an updated version rather than a 'new' campaign. Thank you for your continued support.  And, come try the  art classes at the library, whether you are visiting or live here. You can find more information about my work and  free classes at www.catinkacards.com

Adult art classes this summer did floral coastal scenes and lighthouse scenes, all beloved views in Maine. This past September we focused on buildings: a barn, a farmhouse, a grange. You can see group displays of the September buildings series on my recent blog post on CK notes 4: http://cknotes4.blogspot.com/2016/10/september-drawings-from-adult-art-class.html

Thank you as always for your support. Most important make some art.!

Triangle figures become acrobat clowns and dance to March of the Gladiators in my little circus video. A recent theme in both adults and kids classes. My own stick puppets dance here. These figures are abstract enough for almost anyone to make. Lots of coloring fun too! Try it!
