Hello,
My name is Danielle Dean and this is a picture of my family.  My daughter Faye, me, and my service dog Racquel.  Racquel has been with me for 8 wonderful years.  She is a Diabetic Alert Dog (DAD).  I am a brittle Type 1 Diabetic.  Racquel keeps me alive by telling me when my blood sugar is going too high or too low.  I would have died years ago if she had not been with me.

Now Racquel is 11 years old and it is just about time for her to retire.  I will always have Racquel as a pet, but soon she will be unable to keep up with me as a service dog.  I wish to get a new service dog from Pawsibilities Unleashed Pet Therapy of Kentucky , because that is the organization I got Racquel from.  I trust them implicitly.

The money raised will help me pay for the new service dog as well as the trip up to Kentucky.  We must go through training together and I will need to stay in a hotel for the time I am there.   I thank you in advance for helping me.  Your help is deeply appreciated.

I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Because of you I will be meeting Liam, my new service dog on the 19th of this month! I can't believe it. This has been a long haul but all of your help and optimism kept the stress level down. Racquel is going to be retired and living with us as a pet now. I think she will really like it actually. She loves to sleep. I am turning off the donation application. I think I might have enough for the week in Kentucky. Everything seems to be falling into place and you all played such a big role in that. I love you all. Thanks again!

Hello Everyone,
We are wishing you all an early Happy New Year!!! I must say mine is starting out wonderfully. We have reached the first milestone in our fundraising. We have the necessary funds to purchase the dog!!! Thanks to everyone for your donations and shares to get us to his point. Liz already is picking out possible dogs for me, I am so excited. But now the real work begins. I need to raise money to get me to Frankfort Kentucky for at least a week. I think I am going to ask a few organizations around here for donations, but I am not sure if anything will come of it.

We hope everyone enjoys the rest of their holiday season. Please share this on your pages to get the word out.
Love,
Danielle, Faye, and Racquel

Hello everyone! Happy November, I hope this updates find everyone well. We have gotten a little closer to our goal this month. I want to thank everyone who has contributed and shared this post. We are getting donations from everywhere. Dad, Racquel and I were in the mall a few weeks ago and an anonymous lady gave me a $20 bill towards a new dog. She has black labs as well so we struck up a conversation.

For being so old Racquel still looks good. I love this shot of her on her futon (yes, she thinks its hers-lol). Most people cant believe that she is 12. Now that she is old, she is sleeping through some alerts, but nothing has gotten too serious yet. When she is awake, she is right on point. Faye and I love Racquel so much, and we have enough love to share with whoever our next service dog is. Hopefully we will be able to afford one soon.

Hello everyone, Happy October. Let me explain the picture to everyone. This is Racquel in all her glory. My poor baby. This picture was taken today (10/8/15) around 3pm. We have had our usual day of running around and Racquel is wiped out. I hate to break it to her that the day is only half way over and she has to get up in half an hour. This is all Racquel basically does. She sleeps and accompanies me wherever I go, then comes home and sleeps some more. The only time she actually looks lively is when she is alerting. Most of the time she alerts very well, but lately she has missed a few alerts because she was sleeping so deeply. Thank goodness nothing has been as bad as that first one, but it still worries me.
I also wanted to give you a heads up on how the fund is doing. We have hit $4560 when you include the amounts that were given outside of gofundme. We are over the half way point. Yeah!!! I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the fund and everyone who shares my posts on Facebook. I really don't know what I would have done without all the help.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of October. Have a spooky Halloween. I will write again in November.
One tired dog....
