HELP Sylvia FIGHT CANCER

Hey, Family and Friends!

God Is Good All the Time. I'm currently cancer Free by the Grace of God. Here is my STORY! I normally get my Mammograms in May of each year, like clockwork. However, I wasn't feeling it in 2017--I didn't want to get my breasts flattened to pancakes!

So I didn't get my Mammogram.

 I totally forget about it.

 In August, God kept telling me "GO get your Mammogram"; it was a strong and constant message. I heard Him but didn't go, until the end of September, 2017. Of course, I wasn't worried about anything because I have dense tissue and my mammograms always look weird. When the doctor's office called me back for more scans, I still wasn't worried. After the second set, they told me that something was different from the previous year and they wanted to do a biopsy. I STILL wasn't worried because God ALWAYS takes care of me.

So, when they called and said it was cancerous, I actually shutdown. I was stuck and couldn't comprehend  what they were telling me. I was like this for hours, until I heard my Mom's voice (In Queen Mary Fashion): " If you don't get UP and walk with God the way I taught you!" The Devil had me for a minute;  but God was there from the beginning, because the cancer was so new and early. If I had gotten my Mammogram when I always do, nothing would have been there and it would have grown/spread for months before I would have realized something was wrong.  After several doctor appointments, I learned I had stage 2 cancer and it was aggressive.

Things happened quickly from there: I had surgery In October and it was successful-- they removed all of the cancer and did 6 different tests to confirm!

I'm now in midst of my BATTLE; preventative steps.  I just complete 22 weeks of  Chemotherapy……WOO HOO WON’T HE DO IT; next will be Radiation (not sure have many weeks), however I do get a 6 week break inbetween and finally, I will end with Hormonal pills for 5 years.

I'm THANKFUL and BLESSED, because it could have been so different!!

Of course the Medical bills are mounting until you walk this journey you think you know but you don't. For ALL SURVIVORS KUDOS for you!
