Sydney's Diabetic service dog
Donation protected
My name is Sydney, I am a type one Diabetic. I have to take 4-5 shots a day to maintain my blood sugars and for the food I eat. Being a type one diabetic has many challenges. One is maintaining a good blood sugar. Keeping a blood sugar in the right range could help me to live a longer and easier life. That is why I am asking for your help. It has always been a dream of mine to have a diabetic service dog. A service dog can help me in many different ways. The dogs are trained to alert you if your blood sugar is high or low before it becomes life threatening. Having high sugars for a long time can cause you to have organ damage if it goes on for to long. When a person with diabetes has a low or a high blood sugar their body puts of a smell, which the dog can smell and will alert you. When I sleep my blood sugar goes really high, but with a dog I could control my sugars better and feel a lot better. Please help me to achieve my dream, thank you.
