Hi! It's Sangita and Urgen Dorje. After a brief chat on Facebook, we both felt helpless and devasted for not being able to help our people by being there, when they need us the most. Then, we thought, hey! We don't have to be physically present to help our people. We can maybe request our overseas goers and friends (who knows SMD) to help us raise the money for SMD. Hence, here we are, after the encouraging and supporting comments from our fellow overseas students.
The amount will go to SMD. We will make sure that we update you and answer your any concerns. SMD can use this money for food supplies, medicine, emergency supplies, or anything that can help SMDers and our neighbors. We have come to know that SMD has been helping our neighbours as well.
We all know how much SMD has given to us. SMD needs our help and support more than ever. Our goal is to reach $1,500. We already know the difference this amount can make. We are aware that we are a student, and it's a difficult situation for everyone. We are not expecting big amount from every individual but please if you can help then it is a right time. Even though helping and reaching out to people do not have a specific time, we feel our people at home needs our HELP and SUPPORT! Let's help our second home!
