The Swingin Spurs are a country swing and two step competition and performance dance team based out of Manhattan, Kansas. The Spurs are an independent student organization at Kansas State University and have been performing across the state of Kansas for the past six years promoting country dance and the agricultural way of life. In those six years, the Spurs have been working tirelessly in and out of practice and through many performances in order to achieve their goal of qualifying for a national dance competition.
After competing in numerous regional competitions, the Spurs recently got one step further to their dream by qualifying to compete in Dallas, Texas the weekend of November 16-18. To complete their goals, they need your help. Over the years, the Spurs have performed to pay for clothing, a team van, travel expenses, and sound equipment. As you may imagine, the expenses of taking a twenty-three member team from Manhattan to Dallas for a weekend competition is expensive. That being said, we are in search of generous sponsors who are willing to make a donation in any amount that would help defray the costs associated with lodging, food, registration, and travel fees to and from Dallas.
