The Swing Commanders are a high energy five piece band that play 40’s and 50’s music with lots of hot solos, harmony singing and pretty dresses. We’re full time travelling up and down the country and been lucky enough to regularly play in Europe and America. It’s hard work and we know we’ll never be rich, but it’s an awful lot of fun!
On Monday 7th December our Transit van was stolen, along with all our sound equipment, costumes and many instruments, and we’ve only been able to fulfill our playing commitments through the generosity of local musicians who’ve lent us their gear. Insurance will cover the vehicle but not the contents, so we now face an uphill struggle to replace everything on a permanent basis.
If you would like to contribute to us getting back on track even the smallest of donations could help. We have already been overwhelmed by people's generosity and support during this tricky period so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We do however still have an awfully long way to go....
