My name is Christopher Swain. I am a swimmer and a clean water advocate.
I am hoping you could consider supporting my 130-mile Swim For Clean Water from Montauk, NY to New York City, including the entire lengths of Long Island Sound and the East River.
Along the way, I will call for a permanent end to the dumping of sewage into our waterways.
Why? Because I love the water, and I want every waterway in New York to be safe for swimming every day.
Over the last twenty years, I have swum thousands of miles in polluted rivers, lakes, and oceans in support of clean water, and I have made presentations about my work to over 80,000 North American students.
The money we raise here will help to fund my swim. Any extra funds we raise will support my campaign to make every waterway in New York safe for swimming.
If you decide to back my project, I'll show my love and gratitude by hooking you up with some cool rewards.
Depending on how much you contribute, you could snag a personalized thank you card, a trophy (shaped like a toilet in honor of our anti-sewage message!), an invite to the swim post-swim party, or even a private Swim Escort Boat tour of Long Island Sound or the East River.
