Andres is a swimmer with Down Syndrome. He has been swimming since he was little, and thanks to his hard work and constant dedication he qualified to attend his fourth World Down Syndrome Swimming Competition.
Andres Hernandez is the first and only participant from El Paso and the State of Texas who qualified for this Competition.
Andres is a well known athlete among the El Paso swimming community. Andres was a swimmer for Franklin and Coronado High School swimming teams. Swimming for a local team, he qualified to participate in seven events at the 9th World Swimming Championship which will take place in Truro, Canada from July 19th to the 27th.
When Andres isn't kicking butt in swimming competitions, he enjoys spending time with his family practicing his killer dancing moves and dreaming on becoming the next Hollywood star.
