Sweet Olivia's Medical Costs

If you have met 9 year old Olivia, you've met one of the sweetest people on the planet. If you know her family, you know that the Browns are one of the good ones.  After weeks of severe headaches, doctors ordered an MRI for Olivia. A tumor was found in her brain and surgery is needed urgently (update: surgery is today 8/7, less than a week since the brain scans). A link to what they think is happening will be below; a biopsy during surgery is needed to fully determine further treatment. Radiation will be needed, so the recovery will take a while. So much of this path is painfully unknown until after the surgery.  Depending on how the surgery goes and what the biopsy says, Olivia will need her parents, Ben and Katie, at the hospital in Oakland. Oakland is about 2 hours away from their home in Lodi and they will be there for at least a few days. Then, Olivia will need at least 6 weeks of daily radiation, again probably at least 1 hour away.  Ben and Katie are BOTH school teachers. They don't have the most flexible of schedules, so this is all quite a juggle.  The financial burden, as you can imagine, is going to be a struggle.  Just the traveling costs alone can be intense and the medical bills are sure to pile up. There is so much that we cannot help with in this scary time, but at least we can help with some of the financial side of this burden. If you are able to contribute, please do.
