Sweet Lindsy Mae’s Healing Fund
Donation protected
My husband’s cousin Lindsy, whom I consider to be like a niece to me, fell down a flight of stairs earlier this week and hurt her neck, knee, subverted her knee cap, and had comminuted femur leg breaks. She is a year younger than Gage and I have watched her grow into the beautiful, kind, smart, adventurous, amazing young lady she is today. She had a long, extensive surgery yesterday and had 1 plate and 15 screws put into her leg to fix the breaks. We were so proud of her when she followed her dreams and moved to Colorado about a year and a half ago. She has been working hard at a resort as a restaurant hostess, daycare provider and a stable worker. She has no family in Colorado and the doctor has informed her parents that she will need extensive Physical Therapy, will not be able to put weight on her leg for 8 weeks and cannot return to work for 6 months. Her mom is flying out of Oregon later this week to get all of the additional medical details, check her out of the hospital, pack her up, ship her belongings back and get Lindsy back to Oregon, where she can start therapy and have family to take her to appointments and help care for her. Her medical bills from the major surgery, specialist, hospital stay, medical equipment and therapy visits added to this long amount of time off work, travel expenses and belongings shipping cost will be overwhelming to say the least, for this young adult just starting her own life and I would like to see her focus on healing rather than financial stresses. If you can donate any amount over the coming months it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my post, for your generosity and for any well wishes or prayers you can send Lindsy’s way. She is the sweetest, has the kindest soul and means the world to our family. ❤️
