Abandoned Puppy, Shot and Paralyzed

This puppy was picked up on the side of CR 154 in Wilson County, Texas. The Good Samaritan noticed the rear legs in an abnormal position and stopped to take a look. It was obvious that the poor puppy was paralyzed. The puppy was taken to Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital for evaluation. An x-ray showed a bullet lodged in her spine, which will require surgery by a specialist. She does have some feeling in both her legs and we are hopeful that she will get some use of her legs after surgery. If she is unable to use her rear legs, we will need to get her a set of wheels to assist with mobility. We are a very small non-profit organization trying to fill a gigantic need in our community, but in cases like this….we just don’t have enough funds to pay for such a costly procedure. We rely solely on the generosity of the good people in our community who care about the animals that others throw away like trash. Please help us…help this puppy.
