Introduction

My name is Suzie Graham and I am a Patsy Cline Tribute Artist from Glasgow, Scotland.

I currently sing in clubs and other venues in Scotland and the U.K

I have been singing the songs of Patsy Cline as far back as I can remember after being introduced to her by my mother at around the age of six.

Since then, Patsy has always been a big part of me.

As I became older, I continued to sing her songs at the first chance I had.

I could never have believed that I would become a tribute artist to her and be so well received, that in itself is a blessing for me.

I have just recently returned from doing a tour in America including various TV and Radio interviews, meeting up with Dr. Charlie Frederick who arranged for me to see and experience some of Patsy's early stomping ground.

I performed at the world famous Troubadour Lounge on Saturday the 3rd  September 2016 and Sunday 4th in the Troubadour Park Patsy Cline 53rd Annual celebration with the one and only Joltin' Jim McCoy.

I had such a wonderful response after meeting with Jim McCoy who very sadly passed away while I was there. Jim was instrumental in giving Patsy her start in country music.

I visited Patsy’s old home, her gravesite and I also met with Patsy's daughter Julie Fudge and Jim’s wife Bertha and many people who knew Patsy, including my mentor Dr. Charlie Frederick.

Charlie has written the songs I would love to record and have heard.

I have set up this page in the hope that I can raise £10,000 in funds for a 6 month tour of the States and the aim is to pay for supplies, travel, plus studio recordings in Nashville, Tennessee.

We initially are looking at heading to Sony in Nashville to select the songs that have commercial appeal.

Promotion, Research: £3,000

Recordings: £4,000 (£1,000 per song for studio, producer, session leader, engineer (tracking, editing, mixing, mastering), musicians and recording space)

Supplies and Travel: £3,000

Patsy Cline

It is more than Patsy's voice that makes this a dream come true for me.

I am so enthralled by Patsy the person and the more I find out about her as a person, her fight for women's equality and her sense of humour, her full of life laugh and the fighting spirit that she had.

It is an honour to be able tell her real story and be part of keeping her legacy alive.

There are many missing points about “Ginny” as Patsy was known.   My intentions are to reveal the real Patsy.   Lots of struggles, disappointments, compromise, heartaches, lost loves and unfulfilled dreams…she was searching for something more than she found in life.

These funds are to be used primarily for developing the Patsy Cline Tribute that reveals the woman and the underlying rationale for the songs she chose to record.  We will be using funds for travel, research, recording and promotion.   People are aware of Patsy Cline songs, but not the story – this money will be used to enhance the Patsy Cline contributions to the world and I have the utmost and sincere intentions in doing this.

I'm asking for a chance to learn and explore Patsy's world, expand my circle of experience and friends and broaden my horizons. Country music is in my soul, I have explored and experimented with other music styles, learned and made mistakes, been a seeker and a follower and read and observed and this is something I would be dedicated to and it's something that counts. My goal is to keep Patsy's memory alive and to bring back Appalachian music from the mountains of Scotland to the mountains of Appalachia

It is important that fans know the real Patsy and any donations no matter how big or small would be gratefully accepted and much appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Suzie Graham
