Suzette's Battle with Brain Cancer

My beautiful daughter, Suzette Friend is a peaceful, yet diligent and fierce warrior. In 2006 at the age of 28, she was diagnosed with an anaplastic godendrondroglioma( an aggressive form of brain cancer)that resulted in 2 craniotomies. Suzette was again diagnosed in March of 2014, this time it became more aggressive and complicated. Suzette underwent an "Awake Craniotomy" followed by 8 weeks of radiation therapy. This was an intensely traumatic experience for her. She was in severe pain, swollen , was unable to sleep for more than 1 to 3 hours a night, her vision was compromised, and she barely had the fine motor skills to write. This was due not only to the surgery & radiation, but the byproduct of the accompanying medications needed to keep the brain edema at bay. As awful as it was for her, and for us to watch, she handled it like a rock star ! Suzette was in remission for roughly 13 months until one of her follow up MRI's revealed tumor growth in 2015. At this point her neurosurgeon let her know that it was minimal growth & just to follow up every 3 months with her ususal MRI. We were grateful for the news and hopeful for the future... This brings us to the present.
Suzette's October 2016 MRI showed not only a great deal of tumor growth, but it is currently spreading to inoperable areas of her brain. The surgeon prescribed chemo, and radiation effective immediately.
Suzette is now waiting to be approved for 2 different clinical trials of immuno-therapy. She is seeing a holistic practitioner at least once, sometimes twice a week, and Suzette is also on a strict detox regiment similar to the Gerson Therapy.
This woman, my daughter, is truly an inspiration to me. Her grace in handling this devastating prognosis is admirable. She is tenacious, for every time she gets knocked down by the news of cancer she gets right back up. She continues to carry a positive attitude and continues to share her beautiful smile with all she meets for as long as she is allowed to exist on this plain. She is not giving up!
Suzette needs our help as some of her options are not covered by insurance... So with much gratitude we accept monetary donations, yet we all know that abundance comes in a variety of forms... Prayers, Love, Light, and simply holding a healing place in your heart for her (the very quantum field where real transformation has an opportunity to take place).
