Hello Everyone,
My mom was diagnosed with Stage III Her2 triple positive breast cancer a few months back. Her cancer is currently in three tumors and one lymph node all within one breast. Luckily, the cancer has not spread to anywhere else in her body, but as of recently, it has been brought to our attention that the cancer is more aggressive than we had hoped.
My mom's doctors are advising her to urgently begin chemotherapy treatments to shrink the current tumors and prevent the cancer from spreading. Unfortunately, chemotherapy comes with some major risks. Chemo is given to kill cancer cells, but in doing so, it also attacks healthy cells the body needs. In addition to attacking healthy cells, chemo does run the risk of affecting vital organs, such as the heart, lungs, and nervous system. In short, it takes a serious toll on your body, and can lead to many more complications or ailments outside of the cancer.
For those of you who know my mom, you know that she has never been one to do things by the book. You tell her to go left, and she will look for every possible reason to go right. In this case, her way of thinking has quite possibly helped her more than ever. It has given her another option. It has given her a CHOICE. My mom gives so much of herself to helping others in their faith, and now I am asking for YOUR help. Your help to give my mom this CHOICE to heal her body the way she CHOOSES to.
