Susy Kolak expenses and memorial

As many of you are aware, our mother, Susy Kolak, sadly passed away this past week. She was only 60 years old and it has been very hard on everyone.
Not only has it taken its toll on us emotionally, it has left us unprepared for some of the associated expenses. This has fallen squarely on her children as our dad has not been around for 25 years and has had no involvement in our lives.
This GoFundMe page will serve to help us cover the medical expenses that have accrued throughout her 8 month nonstop stay in the hospital as well as burial cost.
Unfortunately, those are not the only costs we are now faced with. As most of you who know our family well, you are probably aware that our sister Christina is special needs and has spent her entire life wholly dependent on Susy to provide for her. This was also Susy's greatest concern as she lay dying: who would be there to support Christina? Although very loved by her siblings, due to her inability to live on her own, be by herself in any capacity, drive or feed herself, major adjustments will need to be made by her whole family. This will be particularly straining financially.
