Friends, Family and Charitable Strangers,
My mom needs our help. Last night at around 2:49 AM Susan, my 71 year old mother, escaped a blazing house fire that destoryed everything she owns and took the lives of her beloved dogs except one.
Many of you know that Susan has been a lifelong animal lover and has dedicated her life to preserving a rare breed of horse. She also breeds and raises Chinese Crested dogs out of her home. It saddens me to write that 15 dogs lost their lives in this horrific event. My mom didn't only lose her house and possesions, she lost 15 friends that she has cared for and loved for years.
Unfortunately the home is not covered by an insurance policy and nothing has survived the flames. She's lost all her clothing except the pajamas she wore out of the fire, and all her computers, business documents, family records, photo albums, kitchenwares - simply everything. Nothing can ever replace the loss of so many innocent, beloved dogs but we're asking for the help of our family and friends to ease some of her burden. Please help us put her life back together.
